Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio is seeking a mission-minded Associate to join us as a full time (37.5 per week) Revenue Cycle Assistant. SUMMARY Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to billing functions. Reviews and prepares accurate reporting analysis of productivity, including but not limited to posting, scrubbing, refunds, unclaimed funds, verifications and appeals, working collaboratively with Revenue Cycle Manager to ensure quality claim submission. Provides technical assistance with billing issues functioning effectively as part of the Billing Team. Works with Credentialing to prepare and submit applications to Health Plans. Assists both internal and external customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Comply with all agency protocols, policies and procedures, including any state and federal laws and regulations. Identify obstacles and addresses problems cooperatively as they occur. Maintain affiliate-billing functions as directed by the Revenue Cycle Manager including changes in billing requirements of government sources, private insurers and individual medical service grants to ensure compliance. Keep the Revenue Cycle Manager informed of any changes in billing requirements. Work collaboratively with Revenue Cycle Manager, providing open communication to share information necessary to carry out tasks. Understand the preparation of affiliate's third-party billings, including Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and other payers. Prepare, submit, and follow up on Credentials applications with third-party payers. Reconcile third-party grantee submissions for accuracy. Assist with reporting functions as required. Maintain a positive attitude and excellent customer services skills. Knowledge of PPGOH's payers' policies, procedures, and ability to investigate those policies as required ensuring accurate claims submission and reimbursement. Identify payer issues and complete necessary follow-through. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Advanced knowledge of public and private insurance billing, excellent computer skills and accuracy Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel 10-key proficiency Ability to navigate payer websites as assigned EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school or GED required.
