Position Description: Akron Porcelain and Plastics are now hiring for a skilled MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to join our team!!! MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE: High School Graduate or GED. Must have maintenance training and experience. Machine repair Hydraulic repair Electrical repair Machine tools Welding Carpentry Plumbing PLC's MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES: Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment Follow preventative maintenance programs Make repairs to equipment to maintain production schedules Work with department supervisors to minimize disruption to production schedules when repairing critical production machinery Follow appropriate ANSI, NEC codes OSHA regulations, including safety requirements Work with outside contractors On call for after-hours maintenance issues Perform other duties as requested by management MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand and / or walk being on your feet for eight hours Good vision, correctable with glasses Ability to lift 50 lbs Other requirements may be necessary as the job dictates MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN BENEFITS: Health Insurance Life Insurance Paid holidays Paid vacation Pension Employee assistance program Referral program Retirement plan MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN PAY: Based on current skills and experience Starting wage determined during interview MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN SCHEDULE: 1st shift 8-hour shift Overtime as needed On call for after hours and weekend maintenance. May be required to work during off-shifts as needed Job Type: Full-time Pay: $19.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 -- 45 per week
