Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, along with a minimum of 5 years of related experience. strong communication skills are essential, as the role involves collaborating with various teams and stakeholders. The candidate should have a proven track record of developing and optimizing ETL processes, designing Enterprise Data Warehouses, and implementing Analytics applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize ETL processes using tools such as PowerCenter, Informatica Data Replication (IDR), webMethods, or similar platforms.

  • Design and develop Enterprise Data Warehouses and Data Marts following the Kimball methodology.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement effective data solutions.

  • Perform development and tuning on RDBMS technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or SingleStore.

  • Design and/or develop Analytics applications using tools such as Power BI, QlikView, SAS, RapidMiner, or equivalent products.

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and address concerns.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (required).

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with 7+ years preferred.

  • 2-3 years of experience in development and tuning of ETL processes using PowerCenter, Informatica Data Replication (IDR), webMethods, or equivalent tools.

  • 2-3 years of experience in using the Kimball methodology to design and develop Enterprise Data Warehouses and Data Marts.

  • Proficiency in RDBMS technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, or SingleStore.

  • Experience in designing and/or developing Analytics applications using tools such as Power BI, QlikView, SAS, RapidMiner, or similar products.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Certification in relevant technologies or methodologies.

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.

  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools.

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

Communication Skills: The candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, written and verbal. The ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner is crucial for this role.
