Burgess & Niple, Inc. Civil Engineer, Water/Wastewater in Akron, Ohio
Come work with a wide range of professionals at an established A/E firm that value employee input and collaboration. Burgess & Niple is looking for a Civil Engineer, Water/Wastewater to join our team in Akron.
B&N Civil Engineer Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Professional Engineers and design staff throughout various offices
- Perform tasks related to the design of water/wastewater, utility infrastructure processes, and facilities
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis & construction cost estimates
- Perform construction related services including shop drawing review, response to requests for information, perform periodic site visits to observe construction & field inspections
- Provide support for project managers & senior design engineers
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited engineering program
- Engineer Intern (EI) registration required or ability to obtain within 6 months
- 0-2 years of related civil engineering experience. Prior work experience, such as an internship, is desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required. Experience with AutoCAD or is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
- Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
