Emerson Production Supervisor in Aiken, South Carolina

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the planning and directing of employees in the assembly area to maximize productivity through effective utilization of machines, processes and personnel. Direct the activities of assigned work group in a safe method and address concerns or issues in a timely manner.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Responsible for daily productivity, efficiency, organization and quality of work areas.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with manufacturing engineers and all levels of employees within the plant on departmental problems.

  • Conduct monthly department meetings and any regulatory training as required

  • Responsible to manage employee performance to maintain department standards in efficiency, productivity and accountability.

  • Provide recognition and constructive feedback through both formal and informal discussions

  • Maintain accurate inventory of production tools, fixtures and process related supplies.

  • Provide training and assistance to all assigned personnel.

  • Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Report all safety concerns immediately.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

WHO YOU ARE:

You will readily take action on challenges without unnecessary planning, provide timely and helpful information to others across the organization, and persists in accomplishing objectives despite obstacles and setbacks.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Associates Degree in Business or related field and three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment or a High School Diploma or equivalent and five (5) years experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • Supervisory experience is desired

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

  • Experience with internal and/or external audits from regulatory agencies.

  • Experience with electrical components.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Lean manufacturing experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business school is preferred.
