Joni and Friends Senior Coordinator, International Projects in Agoura Hills, California

Under the supervision of the Supervisor, International Projects, support the overall objectives of Joni and Friends’ Global Operations department. Perform duties and responsibilities including, but not limited to:

Duties:

  • Coordinate/assist in the facilitation, measurement, and growth of the International Missions Outreach and Resource Projects

  • Assist in facilitating and measuring the work of our STM Teams

  • Coordinate the building of STM Teams in conjunction with Team Leaders

  • Ensure the development and delivery of quality materials, presentation, and content of pre, mid, and post outreach orientation, devotions, and debriefs

  • Works closely with Travel Management Company to ensure Team travel arrangements

  • Review STM outreach itineraries for quality control purposes

  • Report post-outreach after each International Project

  • Contribute to the maintenance and regular updates of application system and web page descriptions of International Projects

  • Assist in the creation of training materials such as, but not limited to, manuals, handbooks, forms, and role descriptions

  • Cultivate ongoing relationships with past/present STM Team Leaders

  • Apprise department of current and future STM schedule(s)

  • Prepare annual STM budget in conjunction with Supervisor

  • Monitor monthly expenditures for supplies for each assigned Project

  • Maintains records for short-term missionary registrations, update files, and communicates with team members when information is needed

  • Assists in coordinating webinars and training conferences for key outreach team positions

  • Works with Administrative Analyst and Projects Administrative Coordinator for Projects reconciliation and accounting purposes

  • Travels internationally in support of Ministry Program and Quality Control initiatives

  • Provides administrative support to department Director as needed

  • Leads and assists in-field training to lead Outreach Teams on international missions

  • Other duties and projects as assigned by supervisor to support department and organizational needs

    Qualifications:

  • Must possess a vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with the Joni and Friends statement of faith

  • Desire to serve in a growing and dynamic Christian service ministry

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years of relevant experience required

  • Must be a self-starter, flexible and able to multi-task in serving the objectives and goals of the Global Operations department and Joni and Friends overall

  • Good interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to effectively organize and prioritize a wide range of daily tasks with varied deadlines are necessary

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required

  • Able to support and integrate with other departments

  • Must be detail oriented, committed to accuracy, a team player and self-starter who is flexible and able to work independently

  • Must have a strong sense of confidentiality

  • Capable of working well in a team environment and committed to professionalism and respect in interactions with co-workers and people served by the ministry

  • Good judgment required in working with/for a diverse group of volunteers along with having effective and diplomatic communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Understanding of Christian ministry and specifically Joni and Friends is desirable

    Compensation for the position is $23.00 - $24.00 per hour (non-exempt). This position is at our Agoura Hills office and we have a hybrid schedule (Mon, Tue and Thu in the office, Wed and Fri remote).
