The Charles and Virginia Hickman Hospital will give our community its first-ever wellness destination. Our families and friends will have improved access to nutrition education, exercise resources and state-of-the-art care like they never have before. We offer over 200,000 square feet and has 58 acute cate beds in our new state-of-the-art regional hospital. Our campus also features an organic farm with access to nutrition, education and therapies. We will serve as a community hub that touches residents of all ages and promotes a higher quality of life. This is a new model of collaboration between ProMedica and the community. Repairs, installs, and maintains assigned mechanical systems equipment in good condition.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, and safety standards. Keeps work areas orderly, clean, and safe. Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies. Completes work orders and PM’s in a timely manner. Monitors and inspects work to ensure compliance with codes and regulations. Repairs, installs, replaces, and tests electrical circuits, and other systems, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments. Gathers data, reports, and makes recommendations for remedial action on systems as needed. Inspects and performs safety tests on systems and equipment. Inspects and operates refrigeration, cooling, air conditioning, and other systems and equipment to ensure all are functioning properly. Maintains all required departmental records, reports, and files as required. Maintains and repairs systems, tests efficiency of systems, and makes adjustments as needed. Performs other job duties as requested.

Education: High school graduate

Skills: Must have good communication skills. Must be able to operate hand and/or power tools. Must be able to operate switchboard/audio page equipment. Must be able to read and interpret schematics and to maintain logs. Must have the ability to deal effectively with a changing environment and be open to new ideas.

Years of Experience: 1-2 years previous experience in similar position in an institutional setting

License: Valid drivers license and a clean driving record, as demonstrated by a MVR in order to be covered under the Company’s insurance policy.

Certification: Must be licensed/certified in one or more trades or disciplines.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Degree from a technical school
