Trans-Tech Electrician, Licensed Master in Adamstown, Maryland

Trans-Tech is the leading designer and manufacturer of RF and microwave components that help our world communicate, discover, create, protect, explore, and more. We supply advanced materials, ferrites and magnetic materials, dielectrics, ceramic bandpass filters, coaxial resonators, and coaxial inductors.

We are seeking

a Frederick County or State of Maryland Licensed Master Electrician to oversee and perform planned/demand maintenance on wide range of 120/208/480V circuit network serving manufacturing process and general building subsystems in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Duties include:

  • IR Scans/reports of Service Disconnects and Sub Panels with Fluke Thermal Imager
  • Daily Preventive Maintenance per CMM established schedule
  • 208v and 480V 3 phase circuit inspections and installations including breaker installations, conduit runs, wire sizing and circuit terminations
  • Machine moves supporting manufacturing equipment moves
  • Electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of circuit anomalies in production equipment
  • Electrical and PID schematic understanding for source and control power circuitry
  • Familiarity with PLC, VFD and HMI interfaces
  • Sourcing and replacing typical components; relays, displays, switches, fuses, contactors, motor starters, etc.
  • Cat 5/6 Cable runs for supporting IT installations
  • Low voltage circuits for security access, camera, and emergency lighting
  • Interior and exterior lighting maintenance, modifications, and new installations
  • Inspection of buck/boost transformers
  • Inspections and/or replacement of line conditioners
  • Inspections of NG and Diesel 20KW stationary backup generators
  • Inspections and service of Battery Back Up units and transfer switches
  • Inspections of MDP Switchgear
  • Inspections and servicing lift truck charging stations
  • Safety labeling of existing and new circuit runs.
  • Circuit corrections to current NEC and NFPE regulatory conformance

Works daily with peer Maintenance Staff for demand maintenance on all process and facilities related equipment both electrical and mechanical related. Will use Microsoft Office Suite, Building Automation System and established preventive maintenance database on a daily basis. This is a first shift position and reports to the Facilities Manager.

Requirements include:

Current Frederick County or State of Maryland Master Electrician License
