Plant LG Superintendent

Position Overview

Shaw Industries is looking for a Plant Superintendent to oversee and manage, to set future direction, and to provide leadership to the facility, with emphasis on motivating the team to distribute quality flooring in an efficient and safe manner. The position oversees 4 direct reports, along with indirect, and is located in Adairsville at Plant LG.

Responsibilities

• Supervising over all departments of Plant LG (LG - 4 direct supervisor reports)

• Scheduling manpower for Plant LG

• Organizing budgets for Plant operations

• Must be able to work all hours including second or third shifts as necessary

• Must ensure compliance of all corporate policies

• Ensure that the work environment is free of harassment and that the employees feel free to express problems and concerns

• Must oversee the entire facility operations and ensure the management team performs their work in a logical, orderly and skillful manner

• Foster and Lead a SAFE work environment

  Qualifications

• 4 year degree and 2 years of Management/Supervisory experience or High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of previous management/Supervisory experience

• 3+ years previous Distribution experience required

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written are required

• Good computer skills including but not limited to Excel, Word and other software programs

• Must be self-motivated and results oriented

• Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization and work with little supervision and exercise
