Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Abington, Massachusetts

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a skilled Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our team in Abington, Massachusetts. As an HR Manager, you will be instrumental in maintaining a positive work environment by managing various HR functions, including benefits enrollment, leave administration, and employee relations. This role will also involve ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

The HR Manager oversees all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This includes recruiting, hiring, training, compensation, performance management, employee relations, and compliance with laws and regulations. The HR Manager plays a key role in fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that the organization's HR policies align with its overall goals and objectives.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

• Manage the recruitment and selection process, including sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.

• Coordinate compensation and benefits for employees. • Create employee training and development, including onboarding and ongoing personal and professional development opportunities.

• Develop and administer employee benefits programs and policies. • Handle employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances. • Monitor and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations. • Ensure the overall well-being, health, and safety of employees.

• Coordinate and administer the company’s safety initiatives.

• Manage performance appraisal processes and provide guidance and support to managers and employees. • Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.

• Conduct training sessions on HR-related topics for employees and managers.

• Maintain employee records and HR databases.

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure HR initiatives are effectively implemented.

• Assist in developing and maintaining organizational culture.

• Lead employee engagement and retention initiatives.

• Stay updated on HR trends and best practices to improve HR processes and procedures.

• Assist in payroll processing and time and attendance maintenance.

• Participate in employee event planning.

• Assist in admin functions as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or similar a plus

• Several years of previous HR experience

• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.

• Executive presence—you’re polished, professional, and able to communicate with all levels of employees and executives.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—in all formats. Clear and concise communication.

• Accountability • Proven experience in organizing company-wide training and development.

• Some knowledge of core HR technology

• Thoughtful, effective collaborator

• Service-orientation—you approach your work with confidence but without ego.
