ATS has a new, exciting opportunity to provide behavior support to young learners in the Harford County area. At ATS, we have a unique opportunity to expand our services to support those who don't have an Autism diagnosis, but might struggle with other behavioral challenges. As a ABA School Coordinated Supports RBT, you will use the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to provide intense behavioral support for our young learners within the Maryland Consortium on Coordinated Community Support s. You will work to bridge the gap between school and home by ensuring consistent support in both settings. Our support will take place through individual consults and social skills groups as well as with parent groups.

  • An unstoppable passion for excellence and an unquestionable commitment to those we serve?

  • A bachelor's degree in a field that relates to our industry? Ex: Psychology, Education/Special Education, Sociology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Social Work. This is NOT required but it is a preference and will be highly considered. 

  • One year of professional experience working with children or individuals with disabilities? Ex: Teacher, Camp Counselor for children with behavioral challenges, Paraprofessional/TSS, Direct Support Professionals or RBT?

  • Proof of high school diploma or transcripts and are you at least 18 years old?

  • A valid driver's license with proof of car insurance, a good driving record and your own reliable vehicle? Ride sharing and public transportation are not permitted for this position.

  • Ability to work during evenings and after school hours? Client sessions will vary throughout the day and evening to help support consistency between home and school.

  • Ability to give and receive feedback to ensure the best outcomes for the young learner and for the company?

  • Ability to use technology for documentation completion and administrative responsibilities? 

    What are the core responsibilities?

  • Be able to smile, laugh, have fun, play, be silly, nurture, have compassion, forgive, be present, be open, and make learning fun for them.

  • Be a part of the ongoing success and achievement of our young learners by focusing on their strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences.

  • Carry out individualized treatment and behavior intervention plans to support our young learners within the setting that is required to support learning.

  • Implement positive reinforcement strategies and decrease maladaptive behaviors that limit access to learning.

  • Provide support daily to one or multiple students. This may include servicing multiple students in one classroom or providing support to several students over the course of one day. 

  • Provide support for short term services as designed by a BCBA to students in the school environment, home environment or a clinic setting by providing reinforcement strategies, implementing interventions, and collecting data within the plan and recording it in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.

  • interact with a variety of school staff

  • Implement curriculum for social skills groups for up to 10 young learners in the school environment, community location, or clinic setting

  • Help to guide and support families and caregivers to implement new skills.
