Harris Machine is seeking a highly skilled and certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of welding processes, standards and will be responsible for ensuring the quality of integrity of welds in our manufacturing. Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Conduct thorough inspections of welds, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and company specifications. Monitor and review welding procedures and practices to ensure they meet quality and safety requirements. Document report inspection findings, including any non-conformances and recommended corrective actions. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address welding issues and implement solutions. Assist in the development and review of welding procedures, specifications and standards. Stay current with industry advancements and updates to welding codes and standards. Qualifications: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent. In-depth knowledge of welding processes, materials and quality assurance practices. Proficiency in interpreting welding codes and standards (e.g. AWS D1.1 ASME Section IX). Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using welding inspection tools and equipment.
