What You’ll Get to Do:

  • Support engineers in design investigations, product replication and development process.

  • Fabricate high-quality RF, power, and communications cabling and wiring harnesses, ensuring precision and reliability in all assemblies.

  • Build sophisticated threat replicas, including detailed PCB assembly for both surface mount and through-hole components, as well as enclosure modifications and final assembly.

  • Conduct thorough testing and Verification and Validation (V&V) of fabricated threat replicas using state-of-the-art benchtop equipment, adhering strictly to comprehensive test plans.

  • Dress, terminate, and test cables and components to ensure optimal performance and durability.

  • Perform technical assembly of wiring harnesses of varying complexities.

  • Interpret and work from complex manufacturing drawings, circuit diagrams, networking logic diagrams, and wiring diagrams.

  • Play a key role in the electrical and mechanical design, engineering, testing, and installation support of wiring harnesses for both flight and ground support applications.

  • Undertake challenging electrical/mechanical engineering design tasks related to wire harness/cable design and the interconnection of electronic equipment.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Knowledge or experience with analog or digital RF circuits.

  • Basic experience in the use of RF test equipment like network and spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, mixed signal generators, Power meters.

  • Experience in soldering small and large components.

  • Experience and ability to fabricate and perform PCB assembly of surface mount and through-hole components, modify, and assemble mechanical enclosures.

  • Ability to collaborate with engineers and peers assigned to projects to rectify discrepancies in design and/or documentation.

  • Follow all appropriate Hazmat procedures.

  • Basic troubleshooting experience with circuits and ability perform repairs as necessary.

  • Familiar with electrical and mechanical drawings.

These Qualifications Are Nice TO Have:

  • Knowledge of various modulation formats in communication

  • IPC Electronic Wiring and Soldering Certificate or equivalent military training and certification, showcasing comprehensive knowledge and experience in electronic wiring and soldering.

  • Proven experience in fabricating complex threat replicas.

  • Familiarity with advanced benchtop testing equipment and methodologies.

  • Hands-on experience with both surface mount and through-hole PCB assembly techniques.

Knowledge and experience in wiring harness design for both flight and ground support applications, ensuring high standards of safety and functionality.

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$48,300 - 96,600 USD
