• Provide support to the C4ISR DREN Linux Systems.
• Manage the C5ISR Linux based DNS Server, and creating and maintaining, CentOS/Linux baseline campus wide.
• Collaborate with certified hackers in the conduct of network vulnerability assessments of tactical networks in the test and certification phase of development.
• Provide SME recommendations such as reaching customer goals through security, system administration, and enterprise Linux deployments.
• System administrator support to other enterprise services within the network operations center including SAN, Virtualization, and Windows Servers.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) Linux expertise with demonstrated experience.
• Able to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Puppet = Command Configuration Management for Linux Spacewalk/Satellite = Graphical Web Interface Configuration Management Software.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP

  • monitoring the system configuration
  • Must be capable of monitoring and developing the procedures for backups of the servers.

A bachelors degree. A preferred degree in Computer Science, Mathematics,or other Engineering or Technical discipline.

3-5 years of system admin experience.
