ASRC Federal(Agile Decision Sciences) is hiring a Software Engineer Senior III(ServiceNow) in support of our contract at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds. This position is REMOTE with occasional travel tot he client site required.

As we continue to enhance our IT infrastructure and software capabilities, we are seeking highly skilled professionals to join our team in various key roles. Each position plays a crucial part in maintaining and advancing our ServiceNow environment, ensuring seamless operations and robust support for CECOM personnel worldwide.

Position Description: We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Developer to support the deployment, maintenance, and sustainment of custom ServiceNow applications for the US Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM). As part of this role, you will be responsible for finalizing the deployment of existing applications, providing break-fix support, and ensuring the smooth operation of ServiceNow instances across development, test, and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ServiceNow Deployment & Sustainment:

  • Work with CECOM G1 to validate the current status of custom ServiceNow applications and prepare deployment plans.

  • Oversee the uploading of live data sets, initial testing, troubleshooting, user acceptance testing, and deployment to production environments.

  • Perform routine environment maintenance, including upgrades, patches, and performance tuning to ensure the reliability of the ServiceNow platform.

  • Break-Fix Support:

  • Provide timely and effective resolution for any issues, defects, or malfunctions in the ServiceNow environment and custom HR modules.

  • Implement emergency fixes and maintain detailed logs of issues, root cause analyses, and resolutions.

  • User Account Management:

  • Manage user accounts, including creation, deletion, and role assignments, ensuring alignment with organizational policies.

  • DevSecOps Integration:

  • Implement DevSecOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, automated testing, security assessments, and vulnerability scans.

  • Ensure high-quality deliverables through thorough security assessments and continuous feedback loops.

  • Reverse Engineering & Documentation:

  • Reverse engineer custom HR modules, providing comprehensive documentation for government technical representatives.

  • Training & Knowledge Transfer:

  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive training program covering all aspects of ServiceNow management, sustainment, and DevSecOps practices.

  • Provide hands-on training sessions and workshops for government staff.

Work Environment:

  • The role involves working in coordination with Army Materiel Command (AMC) personnel and G6 Cyber Security personnel to maintain the application's operational status and Authority to Operate (ATO).

Requirements :

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computing Engineering, Software Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline is preferred.

  • 10 years within the last 15 years minimum experience performing functions in a team lead position. Start new project to that will deliver SEC software updates to soldiers via a web application. Provides functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including, but not limited to application software, databases, integrated development environments, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software. Participates in the development of test strategies, devices, and systems. Solves engineering problems and performs trade-off analysis to pick best solution. Communicates ideas, plans, strategies to team and customer.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in ServiceNow development.

  • Custom HR modules in ServiceNow (e.g., Training Calendar, Telework, Awards, Out-Processing, Onboarding).

  • Integration and deployment of ServiceNow in a government or defense environment.

  • Must be a U.S citizen eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Certifications (Desired):

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.

  • Proficient in ServiceNow platform capabilities, including custom application development, workflow automation, and reporting.

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing within the ServiceNow environment.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
