Position: Accountant

Job Status: Full Time; Monday - Friday

Salary: Hourly Dependent on Experience

Duties:

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements and ensure completeness of accounting data.

• Prepare period-end journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Participate in providing internal controls and/or oversight of financial operations including accounts payable, purchasing, accounts receivable, cash functions, payroll, and other related activities.

• Remain cross-trained to serve as backup to other departmental functions as needed.

• Collaborate with departmental and executive leaders towards the preparation and analysis of the annual budgets.

• Dive into data and correct inconsistencies, find and understand root causes and drivers.

• Communicate with other departments on outstanding accounting issues, problems, or concerns.

• Assist in developing, testing, and documenting new accounting systems and procedures.

• Assist with internal and external audit requests, survey completion, financial analysis, and other projects as assigned.

  Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting

• CPA, currently pursuing a CPA, or public accounting experience preferred

• Proficiency in excel

• Strong analytical skills

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills a must

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines

• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal to no supervision

• Working knowledge of computer applications and basic office equipment

• Position level will vary from Accountant I to Accountant III depending on relevant experience
