Community for Human Resource Development Inc. *Skills Trainer Job Description *Part Time Temporary Position *Program Description: Community for Human Resource Development Inc. helps people with physical and intellectual disabilities become job ready by assisting them with finding and keeping a job. We help people of all ages. We also help young students with disabilities prepare for life after school. The program also assists businesses in hiring and supporting employees with disabilities. Transition Services helps students with disabilities plan for their life after graduation. We specialize in connecting businesses with the jobseekers we serve. *Position Overview: A skills trainer trains people with physical and/or intellectual disabilities, by helping them to learn or improve upon certain job skills. All Job Skills Training is goal-focused, with the customer's goals and abilities documented on VR3314, Job Skills Training -Referral and VR3315, Job Skills Training Progress Report. The ideal candidate will provide training tailored to meeting the needs of the customer in either a one on one, or group settling at a job site. Job Skills Training should be provided through the least intrusive method possible. The Potential candidates must be able to travel to meet their customer within the zip code assigned to them by program leadership. *Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for conducting skills training for persons with developmental or other disabilities and implementing goals and objectives. *Duties and Responsibilities: Recommend and implement services goals and objectives in skill building, volunteer sites, classroom, community, or worksite.

  • Responsible for meeting the customer/client at the assigned worksite at the appointed time.
  • Responsible for production work, quality control, and for training persons receiving services in performing work assignments.
  • Participate in person-centered planning, quarterly reviews, staffing, and other required meetings.
  • Adhere to all Texas Workforce Commission's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and submit all required TWC's records and reports to Program Leadership at the designated time given.
  • Perform the duties of a Job Skills Trainer as needed.
  • Responsible for carrying out health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Program Leadership.

Qualifications and Employment Requirements:

Candidate must be at least 20 years of age per company policyand possess reliable

transportation, and a driver's license to travel to training sites.
